Lizard Village

This remote out-post, the most southerly point of England has a character all of its own.

Arrive at The Lizard Green and you can walk west, south or east following the land until it stumbles into the ocean. Look for choughs, guillemots, gulls, seals, dolphins, basking sharks or plants (many unique to this special area). Watch boats of all descriptions nearing the land, made safe by the mighty Lizard Light House, a world-renowned landmark.

From Kynance Cove to Lizard Point to Housel Bay and Church Cove, the wonderful backyard of Lizard folk, you will be thrilled by spectacular views.

The Cornish granite and Serpentine church hosted the last service in Cornish in 1678 Killcobben Cove, narrow and steep is home to "The Mable Alice" lifeboat. The community of Lizard families proudly supports, mans and maintains the men who risk their own lives to help those in danger on the sea.
